Three of Swords

The Golden Dawn called the Three of Swords the Lord of Sorrow, but all is not lost. This is often the card of heartbreak (and possible romantic triangles or cheating) but the heart is still vibrant and red with life despite the three swords piercing it.

Beyond the romantic entanglements and betrayals often associated ith this card, the Three of Swords can also show how intellectualism from within or outside sources may try to kill your desires and true passions. The intellect and intelligent, logical thought can be good things, but don’t let them negate what you know in your heart.

As Ally Sheedy’s character said in The Breakfast Club, “When you give up your dream, your heart dies.” Take heed.
