Three of Pentacles

Traditionally, the image in the Three of Pentacles is of an apprentice being guided by two people as far as learning his trade in performing work that has to be done. The traditional meaning that goes along with this is that it’s a good time for team projects and working at material gains. It indicates a period of hard work.

Crazy though this may sound, when I first glanced at the Three of Pentacles I thought it was a church scene with a couple holding a baby swaddled in white material presenting the child for christening. In a sense, you could say that also applies, as a birth can be a metaphor for two people coming together to create a third, bearing the work and influence of both partners.

Either way, this card often indicates this is the time to team up on a business venture or other project and to put your nose to the grindstone to finally turn that dream into reality.

Also note the two people instructing the apprentice appear to be some kind of a friar and a fool. This card could be telling you to bring together what appears to be opposing traits in your nature to create a fresh fusion unique to you.
