Ten of Cups

If the Nine of Cups is the “fat and happy” card, the 10 of Cups takes that happiness one step further. Instead of enjoying wealth in a happy home by oneself, in the 10 of Cups there’s a happy couple and children playing on the lawn of a great estate. Ten cups are glowing across a rainbow in the sky and things couldn’t look much better.

However, while the auspicious nature of this card should mostly be taken at face value, some have noted that things might be a little too perfect in the scene, and that it might indicate the appearance of perfection and happiness that is only a superficial act. Some have even suggested that the sharp line dividing the ground the family stands on and the scene in the background looks like the backdrop of a stage for a play.

Having said that, unless other cards in a spread indicate otherwise, the 10 of Cups should generally be taken as a card of a happy home life and prosperity.
