Six of Cups

The Six of Cups is a card of looking back, whether happy nostalgia or being lured into looking back at the past through unrealistic rosy glasses. You might feel compelled during this time to try to reconnect with an ex-boyfriend or girlfriend, romanticizing the good times and conveniently forgetting the less than stellar times and the reasons that person is an “ex.”

Having said that, nostalgia can be a good thing, as well. You may find yourself returning to your hometown or returning to your roots in some way with a positive outcome. Reminiscing about our past be a great way to celebrate the present and how far we’ve come. But many of us find that even after traveling many miles, whether literally or metaphorically, coming back home may make us realize we never had to leave. Everything we ever wanted was right in front of us all along.

That taking nostalgia in a positive direction, so allow yourself to indulge just as long as you don’t get carried away and find yourself daydreaming about the past instead of living in the present and preparing for the future.
