Knight of Pentacles

While most of the Knights are known for taking action and moving in full speed ahead, the Knight of Pentacles is the earth element of this court card, and tends to be much more stagnant than the other knights. In fact, the Knight of Pentacles may find himself directing his energy into staying put, or staying at home and taking on responsibility at an early age.

Think of it this way: while the other knights are going off to college to have fun and get an education — but mostly to have a lot of fun — while the Knight of Pentacles is stuck at home taking on family responsibilities. The Knight of Pentacles has to grow up quickly and is the one who steps in to take up the slack and hold things together when the previous patriarch or matriarch is unable to do it anymore.
