Ace of Cups

Like all of the aces, the Ace of Cups is one of the most powerful tarot cards of the Minor Arcana. Cups is associated with the water element, and the “still waters run deep” here, with all cups relating to emotion and particularly all matters regarding love and romance.

Since the Ace of Cups epitomizes the suit of cups, also think of this card as The Holy Grail, and you can see this cup runneth over like a fountain. There’s a peaceful dove and while we always say there are no “good” or “bad” cards in the deck, it’s hard to put a negative spin on this unless it’s aspected poorly with other cards in a spread.

Some say the Ace of Cups is the delivery of a wish come true, and often indicates some sort of love or romance coming into your life, bearing in mind not all love is romantic or even directed at another person.
